Yeah, that pretty much describes all moms, doesn’t it?
Are you overwhelmed, stressed out, and just plain drained??
I sure am most of the time!
Most moms, including you and me, feel like we are on a never-ending winding path. Sometimes we feel like we’ve gone full circle and are starting over again. It’s like deja vu. Groundhog’s Day. But there’s encouragement for this overwhelming feeling of the winding path we are following.
No matter how winding your life’s path has been or how crazy and uncertain your path currently is you can be certain of one thing; God is still right there with you. No matter what!
His presence is not dependent on whether you know Him or even believe in Him.
What? How is He there for me even if I don’t believe in Him?
He is there for you because He is ever present, all knowing….He never leaves you or forsakes you. He promises that in Deuteronomy 31:6. God is waiting for you always to turn to Him, lean into Him and let Him take on the worries of this world so that you can live a life full of blessing no matter your circumstance (Proverbs 8:32). He is there for you, the overworked mom, the mom who feels like a failure day in and day out, the mom who just feels she can’t keep doing this and needs something to change. God is there as our comforter, our helper, and our provider, Moms!
Good News for Moms
The good news is God is there and we, as moms, need to remember to let Him be in front of us each and every day. Let Him be your guide as you make every effort to perfect this life that’s impossible to reach perfection in. So stop trying to be perfect.
The Bible encourages us in Proverbs 55:22 to “Cast your burden upon the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.”
He will sustain you all of your days. He promises us that!
He will give you the energy you need right when you need it to keep fulfilling your purpose of being a mom and wife every day. He lights up your path and carries you along it (Psalm 119:105).
The Overwhelmed, Yet Strong Mom
God meets every mom right where we are, whether we are crying in the bathroom hoping no one will find us or yelling at yet another kid to stop when we told ourselves that morning we wouldn’t yell. We want more patience and then we go to bed that night feeling like a failure again because we just don’t have the patience. We fail ourselves every day in this task of being a mom. It’s okay. We are not perfect, no one is….Except God.
God gives us that promise that He will never leave us or forsake us. When God says never, He means NEVER! That means even when you mess up He is there. It also means that when you just don’t feel His presence or believe He is really looking out for you, He is there.
Before God tells us in Deuteronomy 31:6 that “He will never leave us or forsake us” he says “Be strong and courageous.”
God is our helper. He picks us back up each time we fall. He forgives us over and over and lets us try again.
He knows you Mom! He loves you and meets you right where you are.
